The Netherlands is a talent factory for global football. Hundreds of talented players made their transfer to top-competitions. To maintain this high level of quality the Royal Netherlands Football Association and NMC Bright are permanently monitoring and stimulating the quality of academies in professional and amateur football. Together, we have introduced a long-term program named the ‘Quality and Performance Program for Dutch football academies’.

The Quality & Performance Program is based on a framework with minimum requirements at four different levels. These requirements are annually evaluated and each year adjusted to higher standards. Key question in the program is how to deliver more and better players to the top of the football pyramid. Clubs are not only involved in annual quality assessments but are also offered the opportunity to review their academies on regular basis with high-value experts to discuss areas of improvement. This approach reflects our unique and distinctive vision on continuous improvement in sports which is highly appreciated by clubs.

The program is a close partnership between the Royal Netherlands Football Association and NMC Bright. Since 2014 more than 120 clubs participated in the quality and performance program for youth academies. Clubs rated the program 8,4 out of 10.
